Andhra Minister Nara Lokesh meets PM Modi; seeks support for development of Andhra Pradesh

Andhra Pradesh IT & HRD Minister Nara Lokesh paid a courtesy visit to Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi on Friday (September 5, 2025). 

He requested Mr. Modi to extend all possible support to the Andhra Pradesh Government in attracting investments, and expressed gratitude for approving the establishment of a semiconductor unit in the State. Mr. Lokesh sought assistance for developing the IT, Electronics & Communication sector.

The State Government was implementing several reforms in the education sector for improving the academic standards and requested Mr. Modi to help in achieving better results. 

He also acknowledged the Central Government’s support in the implementation of welfare schemes and development programmes in the last 15 months. The Minister expressed commitment on behalf of the Andhra Pradesh Government to contribute to the realisation of Viksit Bharat 2047 vision.

Also, he thanked the Prime Minister for bringing down the GST rates to the benefit of the common people. Mr. Modi promised to do his best for the development of Andhra Pradesh. On the occasion, Mr. Lokesh presented him a coffee table book on Yoga Andhra, stated a press release.
