Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has appealed to the NDA leaders to ensure the success of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Srisailam and Kurnool scheduled on Thursday.
In a teleconference with the MPs, MLCs, MLAs, and other leaders on Wednesday, Mr. Naidu highlighted the benefits of the double engine government, emphasising that the State witnessed accelerated development under the joint efforts of the State and Union governments.
He said the Prime Minister would first offer prayers at the Srisailam temple and later address a public meeting in Kurnool, focusing on the benefits of the GST 2.0 reforms.
Mr. Naidu hoped that the visit would boost development in Srisailam, a prominent Shakti Peetham, and announced that the Prime Minister would inaugurate projects worth more than ₹13,000 crore during his visit.
Referring to the GST reforms, he said every family would benefit by up to ₹15,000. Highlighting the recent achievements, Mr. Naidu mentioned about the signing of MoU with Google for establishment of AI data centre in Visakhapatnam at a cost of US $15 billion. He credited Mr. Modi, and Union Ministers Nirmala Sitharaman and Ashwini Vaishnav for their support, and lauded IT Minister Nara Lokesh for his relentless efforts in bringing the project to Visakhapatnam.

Meanwhile, all arrangements were made for Mr. Modi’s visit to Nandyal and Kurnool districts. Nearly 9,000 police personnel were deployed for the smooth conduct of the public meeting near Nannur toll plaza on the outskirts of Kurnool. More than three lakh people were expected to attend.
With Mr. Naidu, Deputy Chief Minister K. Pawan Kalyan and a host of Union and State Ministers participating, the police deployed nearly 7,500 personnel for security arrangements and smooth traffic movement.
The surroundings of the public meeting venue were declared a ‘no-drone zone’. The CCTV surveillance was increased at the venue. The district administration made arrangements for drinking water and food, besides setting up 1,500 toilets. Medical and emergency response teams had been asked to be on alertm while arrangements were made for uninterrupted power supply.
