Andhra Pradesh government will release a notification soon to fill 8,000 doctor posts, says Health Minister

Health Minister Satya Kumar Yadav on Tuesday inaugurated the Block Public Health Unit and a tehsildar office in the Tadimarri mandal headquarters of Dharmavaram Assembly constituency.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Satya Kumar said the State government is keen on providing effective healthcare services to the rural people by developing medical infrastructure at the mandal-level. He said 168 Block Public Health Units have been sanctioned in the State and two such units have been sanctioned for Dharmavaram Assembly constituency.

The Minister said to bring revenue services closer to the people, the tehsildar’s office was constructed at a cost of ₹10 lakh and all the grievances of the public can be resolved at the minimal time.

Criticising the previous YSRCP government for neglecting the medical and health sector and not fulfilling the promises made, Mr. Satya Kumar said the NDA government is fulfilling all the promises it made and is developing every village. He said the State government had recruited 2,600 doctors in the past one year and will be releasing a notification to fill another 8,000 posts soon. Further, he said the State government had improved medical infrastructure and had purchased 3,200 various diagnostic machines, including six CT scanners. He said cancer patients are being treated free of cost at the newly-inaugurated State Cancer Centre in Kurnool.

With respect to summer action plan, Mr. Satya Kumar said 10 bores have been dug in the mandal. Elaborating on other development works, he said they have taken up construction of 87 CC roads with a cost of ₹ 3 crore, ₹9.5 crore paid for Chitravathi reservoir submergence families, and constructed RO plants at Pinadari and Sivampalli villages.
