The previous year year, too, the State saw a warmer winter, which usually lasts from December to February.

The IMD said the State might receive normal to above-normal rainfall as part of the Northeast Monsoon during the month. But the State might not see any rainfall activity until November 7, except for thunderstorms at a few places.

The IMD further said that La Nina conditions were prevailing over the Equatorial Pacific Ocean and negative Indian Ocean Dipole (IOD) conditions over the Indian Ocean.

The latest global model forecasts indicated that La Nina conditions were likely to continue during November-December-2025. Similarly, negative IOD conditions were likely to weaken over the Indian Ocean during the upcoming months.
