Jamie Murray, the brother of tennis star Andy Murray, has divorced his wife Alejandra Gutierrez after 15 years of marriage. The couple first separated in 2024 and the divorce was made official on August 22, 2025, according to Jamie’s spokesperson.

Jamie, who is 39 years old, is a seven-time Grand Slam doubles champion.

He married Alejandra, a Colombian woman he met in 2008, in a private ceremony in 2010 near his hometown of Dunblane, Scotland. They have one daughter, Ava, who was born in 2022 and is now three years old.

The statement from Jamie Murray’s team confirmed the divorce news to The Sun. It said:“Jamie and Alejandra Murray divorced on August 22, 2025, having separated the previous year. As with any divorce, this is an extremely difficult time for Jamie and Alejandra and they would appreciate that their privacy is respected whilst they navigate their future and protect their family.”

Jamie and Alejandra’s marriage lasted for 15 years. They first met in 2008, when Alejandra was a business student in Colombia. Two years later, in 2010, they tied the knot with close family present. Andy Murray, Jamie’s younger brother, was his best man.

Over the years, the couple built a life between the UK and abroad while Jamie continued his tennis career.Alejandra Gutierrez has mostly stayed away from the public spotlight, while Jamie became a well-known doubles specialist. Between 2007 and 2019, Jamie won seven Grand Slam trophies in men’s doubles and mixed doubles.

Since the divorce, Jamie Murray has joined Raya, a members-only dating app often used by celebrities and athletes.
