Ange Postecoglou Sacked Again! Out At Forest After Eight Games; Marinakis Has No Patience

Nottingham Forest owner Evangelos Marinakis acted swiftly, sacking Ange Postecoglou after a 3-0 loss to Chelsea, ending his eight-match tenure.

Oh well, guess Evangelos Marinakis wasn’t a fan of waiting till the trophies came to Ange Postecoglou.

Nottingham Forest pulled the plug on Ange Postecoglou on Saturday, just minutes after a 3-0 home defeat to Chelsea, ending the Australian’s brief eight-match stint in the East Midlands.

“Nottingham Forest Football Club can confirm that after a series of disappointing results and performances, Ange Postecoglou has been relieved of his duties as head coach with immediate effect," the club announced on X.

“The club will make no further comment at this time."

Forest owner Evangelos Marinakis reportedly left his seat during the game at City Ground, with Postecoglou’s fate confirmed shortly after full-time.

The decision comes less than six weeks after Postecoglou’s appointment on September 9, following his Europa League triumph with Tottenham.

However, no wins and six defeats in eight matches were enough for Forest to act, leaving the club searching for a third manager this season.

Despite his short tenure, Postecoglou had remained defiant in interviews, famously saying at a pre-match press conference on Friday:

“If you give me time at a club, it always ends with me and a trophy."

Now, former Burnley and Everton manager Sean Dyche is reportedly being considered to take over at the City Ground, as Forest aim to stabilize a turbulent campaign.
