Anirudh Ravichander reacts to wedding rumours with Kavya Maran, says, "Marriage ah?..."

Music composer Anirudh Ravichander has addressed the swirling rumours about his alleged upcoming wedding with businesswoman and IPL personality Kavya Maran. The composer took to X (formerly Twitter) to react, to the wedding whispers asking fans to 'chill out'.The speculations had been doing the rounds online, especially on Reddit and social media platforms, suggesting that the duo has been in a relationship for over a year and is planning to tie the knot soon. However, the 'Jawan' composer wrote, "Marriage ah? lol .. Chill out guys. Pls stop spreading rumours."

The rumours have been doing the rounds online after multiple fan accounts claimed that Anirudh and Kavya have been spotted together at private gatherings and even have been on vacations together.

Some rumours also suggested that superstar Rajinikanth, who is related to Anirudh, had personally spoken to Kalanithi Maran about the relationship.For the unversed, Kavya Maran is the CEO of the IPL franchise Sunrisers Hyderabad. She is the daughter of media baron Kalanithi Maran, the Chairman and Founder of Sun Group. She is known for her regular presence during SRH matches and has often trended on social media sites for her expressive reactions.

Anirudh has been part of some of the biggest recent films including 'Jawan', 'Leo', and 'Jailer'. He was most recently heard in Ajith Kumar's upcoming film 'Vidaamuyarchi'.Previously, Anirudh was rumoured to be in a relationship with actress Keerthy Suresh, with widespread speculation about their possible marriage circulating in 2023. However, both Keerthy and Anirudh firmly denied it. In 2024, Keerthy Suresh married her long-time boyfriend Antony Thattil in December. Speaking of his upcoming work, Anirudh has also composed for Vijay Deverakonda's much-awaited action drama, 'Kingdom'. The film, initially slated for a grand release on July 4, 2025, is reportedly facing slight delays. An official update is awaited from the makers.
