Suspended IPS officer and former Director General of Police (Intelligence) P. Sitarama Anjaneyulu, who was in judicial custody in the alleged APPSC recruitment scam suffered illness on Friday midnight.
Police shifted him to Vijayawada jail dispensary, and later to Government General Hospital (GGH). Mr. Sitarama Anjaneyulu was suffering with high blood pressure levels, the doctors said.
Former Gannavaram MLA Vallabhaneni Vamsi who was in police custody, suffered illness in Kankipadu police station in the wee hours on Saturday.
“Vamshi suffered with breathing problem and vomiting. He was rushed to Kankipadu Primary Health Centre (PHC) and the doctors referred the patient to GGH,” the Kankipadu police said.
After providing treatment to the former MLA, police produced him before the Nuzvid magistrate, and will be shifted to Vijayawada jail, said Gannavaram Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Ch. Srinivas to The Hindu on Saturday.
The Nuzvid Court gave two days police custody to Mr. Vamsi in the alleged fake house sites pattas case. Police arrested him in the case a few days ago.
