Another youth’s body found off Payambalam beach

The body of 27-year-old V. Prineesh, a native of Valiyanoor, who went missing at Meenkunnu beach was recovered from the sea near Payyambalam on Wednesday.

This follows the recovery of the body of P.K. Ganesan Nambiar, a native of Kotolipram, Paattannoor, on Tuesday near Neerkadavu. Both youths were swept away by strong currents after entering the sea at the Meenkunnu beach in Azhikode on Sunday evening.

Rescue operations were carried out by the Marine Enforcement Directorate, Coastal police, and local fishermen.
