Anthony Edwards jokes about dunking on Yao Ming during Adidas ‘Believe That Tour’ in China

Adidas' 'Believe That Tour' is now in China, where Timberwolves player Anthony Edwards is endorsing his new AE2 shoe line. As the AE Tour began with the release of his eagerly awaited Adidas silhouette, he landed in China to an overwhelming amount of affection.

There, he also met Yao Ming, an eight-time All-Star for the Houston Rockets between 2002 and 2011.

However, the Wolves player made a stubble dig at the Chinese player.

Anthony Edwards trolls NBA legend Yao Ming with playful jab

Anthony Edwards is currently in the news for his controversial post featuring Hall of Fame center Yao Ming, in which the 24-year-old said he would dunk on Ming. According to reports, he had a conversation with Yao Ming, the great NBA player, when they recently met. The Minnesota Timberwolves star then snapped a photo with him and later, jokingly posted on Threads: "I wud dunk on Yao shout out to one of da greats."

The remark about dunking on Yao Ming was a joke, but Anthony Edwards is no stranger to criticizing NBA greats. He went on to declare the former Houston Rocket one of the stars.During his NBA career, the player from China was only dunked on a few occasions. If the two had played in the same era, Anthony Edwards, who has a good argument for being the best dunker in the NBA right now, would have undoubtedly attempted to pull it off at some time.

Anthony Edwards launches Adidas AE2 on ‘Believe That Tour’ in China

On the second official day, Anthony Edwards embarked on his first professional tour of China, which he called the Believe That Tour. He also debuted his second trademark sneaker, the Adidas AE 2. The last AE 1 colorway was celebrated on Day 1.As the AE Tour began with the release of his eagerly awaited Adidas silhouette, Anthony Edwards received an overwhelming amount of affection. The next day, Adidas and Ant turned the page to the second chapter of their partnership in Shanghai's Red Rock Theatre. One of the most noteworthy features of the AE1s' run has been its marketing. Against their signature orange backdrop, Anthony Edwards and his friend Nick Maddox also talked about whether or not fans are ready for the AE2.Additionally, the leaked samples introduce a slimline traction pattern on the sole designed for rapid, responsive court motions.
