The Minnesota Timberwolves star made it clear that if he ever finds himself in a blockbuster trade situation like Luka Doncic, he expects to hear it from Charania personally, not through social media.

Charania admitted the trade announcement nearly shook him to his core.

“Going back to the Luka Doncic trade... that was a wild night,” Charania said. “I thought I was being catfished, honestly. I thought my phone was being hacked. I remember I got the first text at like 11:05 p.m. Central Chicago. I’m chilling and I tweeted out seven minutes later. So between those seven minutes, like my hands were shaking because you just know the ramifications that it has.

”That’s when Edwards chimed in with his trademark confidence and of course, with his classic humor. “If I'm going to get traded, you better fuking text me. Don’t leak that sht on Twitter — or X, or whatever. Send me a message. Let me know,” he told Charania.
