APIIC launches drive to attract investments to Vizianagaram

Vizianagaram Collector S. Ramsundar Reddy on Thursday said that with the availability of all resources available for entrepreneurs, Vizianagaram would become a major industrial hub in the country.

The Collector said that the Andhra Pradesh Industrial Infrastructure Corporation (APIIC) has taken up a month-long special drive to attract more investments to the district, which is expected to see significant economic activity with the construction of the international airport at Bhogapuram. The special drive commenced formally on October 15 and will continue till November 15 across the district. Cleanliness, greenery improvement in the industrial corridors would also be taken up during the special drive.

APIIC senior officials K. Jaya Chandra, V. Rajesh and others will hold awareness programmes for entrepreneurs, explaining the opportunities available in the district, the Collector added.

Mr. Ramsundar Reddy added that the industrial centres and growth corridors located in Bobbili, Kothavalasa and other areas, offer ample opportunities to investors to set up industries. He assured that all necessary clearances and approvals would be processed quickly through a single window clearance system.
