The Eluru District Coordinating Officer B. Umakumari announced on Friday that applications are now being accepted to fill vacant seats in Dr. B. R. Ambedkar Gurukul Schools for the academic year 2025–26. Admissions are open for students entering Classes 6, 7, 8, and 9. Applications can be submitted directly at the respective gurukul schools. A written entrance examination is scheduled to be held on June 25 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m..
The opportunity is available to students from Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), Backward Classes (BC-C), Other Castes (OC), and Economically Backward Groups, who are encouraged to apply.
Available Vacant Seats for boys are class 6: 36 seats (SC, ST, BC-C, OC, EBC); Class 7: 3 seats (ST only); Class 8: 18 seats (SC, ST, BC-C, OC); Class 9: 11 seats (SC, ST, BC-C, OC). Available Vacant Seats for Girls are class 6: 35 seats (SC, ST, BC-C, OC, EBC); Class 9: 2 seats (Economically Backward BCs only). The entrance exam would be conducted on June 25. The time is 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Test centres are: Girls: Dr. B. R. Ambedkar Gurukul School, Vatluru, Eluru District, and for Boys is Dr. B. R. Ambedkar Gurukul School, Pedavegi, Eluru District. The initiative aims to provide quality education and equitable access to students from underprivileged backgrounds through the state-run residential school system, according to a press release.
