APS team wins Judo event

Army Public School, The Maratha LIRC, Belagavi, shine at CBSE South Zonal-II Judo Championship 2025 held in Shirdi, Maharashtra, from 4th to 6th August, bagging 12 medals and qualifying six players for the CBSE Nationals in Shriganganagar, Rajasthan.

A team of students including Aarya Muchandi, Samarth Mane, Anushka Bhosale, Trupti Bastwadkar, Abhimanyu Gurav, Shreya Vasulkar won the silver medal.

A team including Prithviraj Mahadik, Sawankumar Hadpad, Abhay Lakkundi, Ayush Pawar, Kartik Shrirangshetti, Zikra Bishti won the bronze medal.

The team’s remarkable performance came under the dedicated guidance and training of Rupinder Kaur Chahal, principal and coach Rekha Akshay Jangale.

The school management felicitated the participants, praising their grit, skill, and sportsmanship, said a release.
