From INS Vikrant to Ladakh, the three service chiefs visited and celebrated Diwali with armed forces personnel posted at frontline locations.
The service chiefs of the Indian Army, Air Force and Navy celebrated this year’s Diwali at three different frontline locations, commending the bravery of the personnel posted there.
Admiral Dinesh Tripathi, the chief of the Indian Navy, was seen accompanying Prime Minister (PM) Narendra Modi onboard INS Vikrant. Air Chief Marshal AP Singh, on the other hand, visited the Ladakh sector and hailed the Air Force and Army personnel posted there for their dedication and professionalism.
Meanwhile, Indian Army Chief General Upendra Dwivedi visited the Panchsul Brigade at Pitthorgarh and nearby areas in the Kumaon range a day before Diwali. He interacted with members of all the ranks and was briefed on various issues like technology infusion, integration with other security agencies and various nation-building initiatives undertaken by the unit.
In addition to this, the Army chief also praised the use of underground storage for water and fuel to ensure sustainability during harsh winters. Later, General Dwivedi exchanged festival greetings with everyone and appreciated their professionalism.
Along with the service chiefs, Air Chief Marshal AK Bharti, Deputy Chief of the Air Staff, also interacted with personnel on the frontlines. He visited the Siachen Glacier and celebrated the festival of lights with the personnel posted there.
