Arshad Warsi has finally shared an update on the much-awaited Asur 3 which marks the next chapter of the acclaimed psychological thriller series.Known for his portrayal of forensic expert Dhananjay Rajput, Warsi revealed in a recent interview with Mid Day that while the series is officially in the works, he has not yet gone through the script.
"They’re still sorting out the dates right now, but yes, that’s my next project. I haven’t gone through the script yet, though we’ve discussed it and I know it’s definitely happening," he said.
Season 3 to take a dark turm
Reports suggest that his character will take a darker turn in the new season, joining forces with Barun Sobti’s Nikhil Nair to hunt down a dangerous serial killer. The upcoming season promises to deepen the exploration of morality, mythology, and psychological warfare.
A new direction for 'Asur 3'
One of the biggest changes in Asur 3 comes behind the camera. Reportedly, the director Oni Sen, who helmed the first two seasons, will not return due to scheduling conflicts.
Arshad’s packed 2026 lineup
Apart from 'Asur 3', Arshad Warsi is set to appear in several diverse projects in 2026. His slate includes the comedy Dhamaal 4, the star-studded Welcome to the Jungle, a cyber-crime thriller Pritam Pedro, an action drama King, and the dacoit saga Ghamasaan.
Meanwhile the actor recently impressed the audiences with his performance in Aryan Khan's directorial debut series 'The Ba****ds of Bollywood'. Arshad Warsi played the role of Gafoor Ismail who is an underworld don, in the series led by Lakshya Lalwani, Raghav Juyal and Bobby Deol among others.
