Arun Vijay visits Vennangodi Muniyappan temple along with Siddhi Idnani ahead of 'Retta Thala' release; congratulates Vijay's political entry

Actor Arun Vijay's 'Retta Thala' is gearing up for a theatrical release on December 25. Ahead of the film’s release, he has offered special prayers for the success of the film. Arun Vijay, along with actress Siddhi Idnani, seeked darshan of at the well-known Vennangodi Muniyappan Temple in Salem district.

They also completed the rituals in a calm and composed manner.

'Retta Thala' actor speaks about the responsibility towards quality films

Later, addressing the media after his visit to the temple, Arun Vijay spoke about the expectations from the film ‘Retta Thala’.“Retta Thala in which myself is acting, that’s why we had darshan as it is releasing in two days now and we wanted to visit Muniyappan Temple in Vennangodi at Salem," he said, highlighting the fact that the viewers in Tamil cinema still prefer physically watching the film in a theatre.

He said that if this culture needs to be carried forward and to continue, then the responsibility rests on the shoulders of entertainers to come forward with quality films.

While sharing the importance of preserving this culture of watching films in theatres, Arun Vijay talked about the decisions on releasing films on OTTs. “The decision regarding how much time gap we should maintain to release new films on OTT is not the decision of only a single person, but it should be decided jointly by the theatre owners and the Producers Association President or any other related person,” he said, citing that such decisions will prove beneficial for the film industry and the theatres for a longer run.

He further added his opinion regarding the political entry of the leading actor, Vijay. “Vijay’s entry into politics is well received and getting a good response from the public.
