The BFI is presently holding trials at NIS Patiala for the Asian championships, where the boxers are ranked for selection in the CWG and Asiad-approved weight divisions. It’s been learnt that while the federation is following its evaluation for-mat for selecting boxers, it has allowed the referees and judges (R&Js) to decide the outcomes of the bouts.Earlier, it was the national coaches who would evaluate, award ranking points and select boxers for international competitions.“Ranking evaluation will be done only in Olympic weights in the last week of Feb for 7-10 days.
