A 19-year-old migrant labourer from Assam was lynched by a mob of over 500 people outside Roing police station in Arunachal Pradesh for allegedly assaulting minor girls.

A 19-year-old migrant labourer was lynched by a mob for allegedly sexually assaulting minor girls in Arunachal Pradesh on Friday. The lynching incident took place outside Roing police station in Lower Dibang Valley district.
According to news agency ANI, the deceased hailed from Assam and was accused of sexually assaulting several minor girl students.
ANI quoted Ringu Ngupok, Superintendent of Police (SP) of Lower Dibang Valley district, as saying that a mob of over 500 people dragged the accused man out of the police station before killing him.
Despite police intervention, the situation could not be brought under control.
