The last date for filing nominations for all 234 constituencies in Tamil Nadu and for the 294 constituencies in West Bengal, is scheduled to end on Monday (April 6, 2026).

The Trinamool Congress chief urged people whose names have been deleted from the voter list during the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls to move appeals before the tribunal.

Meanwhile, Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan has launched “a name change start-up,” Union Home Minister Amit Shah said on Sunday, accusing the former of claiming credit for several Centrally funded projects.
