At least three persons killed as car rams over three two-wheelers in A.P.’s Kakinada district

Three persons died on the spot and three others survived with injuries on Saturday (November8, 2025) after a car rammed over three two-wheelers on the national highway at Somavaram village under Kirlampudi police limits in Andhra Pradesh’s Kakinada district. 

Later, the car reportedly rammed into a bus stop, in which no person was present. The tyre of the car, headed to Rajamahendravaram from Visakhapatnam, reportedly burst, leading to the accident. 

“Three persons who died on the spot were driving their respective two-wheelers”, said Circle Inspector Y.R.K. Srinivas. The police rushed to the spot and recovered the bodies. The police registered a case and the investigation is currently underway.

The deceased have been identified as Mortha Anada Kumar, Kakada Raju and Mortha Kondayya. All of them are native of Kakinada district.

The injured persons are Bathina Bhadram, Kondrapu Chaitanya, and Cheepurupalli Phanisri, who are being treated in Government General Hospital in Kakinada city.
