Audi unveils all-new car for the 2026 F1 season: First look, details

Audi is all set to expand the teams’ lineup in the upcoming Formula 1 2026 season as the carmaker has finally debuted the Audi Revolut F1 team along with its Audi R26 racecar. For the 2026 Formula 1 season, Audi Revolut F1 Team will field Nico Hulkenberg and Gabriel Bortoleto as its race drivers, with Jonathan Wheatley appointed as Team Principal.

The German manufacturer has taken over the Sauber outfit and will enter Formula 1 as a full works team for the first time in 2026.

Audi R6 F1 race car debut: Key details

Speaking of the Audi R26 race car, the design features a Titanium-finish body with exposed carbon fibre elements. The livery boasts of Lava Red accents, iconic Audi rings feature prominently, while the lower sections of the car are finished in black. Besides that, the car features popping orange highlights, several logos of brand partners including a prominent Revolut branding.

The team also revealed its bespoke race and teamwear collection, developed in collaboration with Adidas. Drivers Nico Hulkenberg and Gabriel Bortoleto showcased the new apparel. The collection will go on sale globally from February 19, 2026, alongside the launch of Audi’s new e-commerce platform, with availability through Adidas’ official channels as well.

Speaking at the event, Gernot Dollner, CEO of AUDI AG and Chairman of Audi Motorsport AG, described the unveiling as the beginning of a new era for the company. He reiterated that Audi is entering Formula 1 with a long-term mindset and aims to be fighting for the World Championship by 2030. Drivers Hulkenberg and Bortoleto echoed this confidence, describing the project as serious, ambitious and backed by strong resources.
