Authorities on high alert after rising Godavari water levels

With the increasing inflow of water in the Godavari river at Bhadrachalam, District Collector K. Vetri Selvi directed the administration to remain on high alert.

The Collector appealed to the public not to enter the river under any circumstances. Activities such as swimming, fishing, or venturing into the waters must be strictly avoided in view of the strong current. She further instructed officials to keep motorboats and trained swimmers ready for emergency response and rescue operations if required.
