Ubisoft has released the launch trailer for Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora's From the Ashes expansion, revealing the game's first Na'vi versus Na'vi combat scenarios when it launches December 19th across major platforms. The expansion centers on the Ash Clan, a hostile Mangkwan raider warband allied with the RDA who reject the Na'vi deity Eywa. Players will face dramatic boss battles against these antagonists in the Western Frontier and Ravaged Kinglor Forest, marking a significant departure from previous gameplay.Creative Director Omar Bouali confirmed the feature addresses one of the community's most requested additions.

"For the first time, players will experience Na'vi versus Na'vi combat in dramatic boss encounters," he stated, promising increased variety and intensity. The expansion's antagonists include Wukula, a Mangkwan warrior with unfinished history with protagonist So'lek; Zari, an RDA-trained sniper wielding human weapons despite being blind in one eye; and Rakx, described as the most sadistic raider who weaponizes ikrans.

The Ash Clan's visual design features scarification, piercings, and red-and-black war paint reflecting their scorched homeland.New RDA threats include hellhounds—robotic canines from Avatar: The High Ground graphic novel—plus upgraded Skel suits and AMP suit variants. Major Tyler Bukowski from Avatar: The Gap Year comic series appears as an RDA officer leveraging his Na'vi cultural knowledge to hunt the Resistance. The expansion launches on Ubisoft+, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Amazon Luna, and PC via multiple storefronts. It's available standalone or bundled with the main game in the From the Ashes Edition.A free December 5 update added New Game+ mode and highly requested third-person camera view to the base game.
