Award for NIOT Scientist

Dilip Kumar Jha, a scientist at the National Institute of Ocean Technology (NIOT), received the prestigious K. Chidambaram Memorial Prize for 2024 on Saturday. The award is presented annually by the Fisheries Technocrats Forum, Chennai, in recognition of outstanding contributions to the fields of fisheries, aquaculture, marine science, and allied sectors. Mr. Jha was recognized for his contributions in the areas of Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA), Geographical Information Systems (GIS), and Hydrological Studies, particularly along the Indian mainland coast and oceanic islands.
