'Baahubali The Epic': Fans hail SS Rajamouli's 'Baahubali' as India's own 'Star Wars'

Ace filmmaker SS Rajamouli's magnum opus 'Baahubali' is revisiting the cinema houses and has taken over the internet. The movie is receiving all the love from the country. Interestingly, a section of fans are comparing the epic to 'Star Wars', calling it the ultimate Indian cinematic universe.

One fan on the internet wrote, "I finally get to add one film to my limited four favourites instead of using two spaces for both films. Baahubali means an immense amount to me. I've said on numerous occasions that the Baahubali duology is to me what Star Wars is to many Western filmmakers. Both films, on the days that I first saw them, were the height of theatrical experience.'

'Baahubali: The Epic' is a re-edited and remastered version of the original two-part Indian saga directed by S. S. Rajamouli, combining 'Baahubali: The Beginning' and 'Baahubali: The Conclusion' into one continuous film.The remastered version was streamed in premium formats, including IMAX, Dolby Cinema, and others, to enhance visual and sound quality.Directed by SS Rajamouli, the film features Prabhas, Rana Daggubati, Anushka Shetty, Tamannaah Bhatia, Sathyaraj, Ramya Krishnan, Nassar and others reprising their roles.

The film's re-release was a grand event. It earned over Rs 10 crore on its first day in the country and on the second day, it is inching closer to minting Rs 20 crore, according to a report by trade analyst Sacnilk.
