 SS Rajamouli's magnum opus re-release may include deleted scenes - Report

Marking a decade since SS Rajamouli introduced his world of the 'Baahubali' franchise, the makers have shared that the film is set to return to theatres as 'Baahubali: The Epic', and reports suggest that the re-release may include some unseen scenes which were not part of the original movies.

Unseen footage may be seen in 'Baahubali: The Epic'

According to a report in Bollywood Hungama, some of the unseen moments from the 2015 and 2017 films are expected to be restored in 'Baahubali: The Epic', offering audiences a never-before-seen perspective on the saga. The report states that Rajamouli had shot over eleven hours of footage for the two Baahubali films. Given the narrative demands and runtime constraints, many scenes had to be trimmed or left out entirely during the editing process.

Though it is imperative to mention that no official confirmation from the makers has been made.

'Baahubali: The Epic'

Speaking about 'Baahubali', the movie is considered a sensational movement in the history of Indian cinema created by SS Rajamouli. The movie stars Rebel star Prabhas, Rana Daggubati, Anushka Shetty, Tamannaah Bhatia, Ramya Krishnan, Satya Raj, Nassar, and others in key roles. The film's music is composed by the Oscar winner M.M. Keeravani

Story of Mahishmati from 'Baahubali: The Epic'

The story of the film is set in an ancient kingdom called Mahishmati, where viewers are introduced to two royal cousins, Amarendra Baahubali and Bhallaladeva, who are competing for the throne, and the journey of Amarendra's son, Mahendra Baahubali, also known as Shivudu or Siva, as he takes up the fight against tyranny to reclaim the kingdom.

According to Sacnilk, the first part, 'Baahubali: The Beginning' grossed around Rs 650 crore worldwide and 'Baahubali: The Conclusion' grossed over Rs 1,800 crore worldwide, becoming the first Indian film to cross Rs 1,000 crore at the global box office. Together, the Baahubali franchise earned around Rs 2,450 crore worldwide.The re-release is scheduled to hit theatres worldwide on October 31, 2025, in multiple languages, including a grand IMAX presentation.
