Bali Yatra extended till today

Cuttack: CM Mohan Charan Majhi on Wednesday announced extension of the historic Bali Yatra by one more day, allowing the fair to continue till Thursday. “The decision was taken keeping in view the overwhelming public response and business interests of traders participating in the fair,” said Majhi.

On Wednesday, governor Hari Babu Kambhampati attended the valedictory ceremony of the Bali Yatra.He reached the Silver City Boat Club at 4 pm and proceeded to Gadagadia ghat, where he witnessed the final boat race of the event. He later visited the dahibara haat, Pallishree Mela, and the experience zone, and interacted with traders and artisans. “I’m glad the govt extended Bali Yatra by a day. The fair is huge, and one visit isn’t enough to explore everything,” said Sasmita Rout, a visitor.tnn“The extension has made us happy. We’ve had great sales and an extra day means more customers and better visibility for our products,” said Prakash Behera, an pallishree mela stall owner from Mayurbhanj.
