Namma Metro train frequency increase: The Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) has announced major changes to the train schedule from Saturday, November 1, on Namma Metro’s Yellow Line by increasing train frequency. The move is aimed at providing a smoother and more reliable travel experience for commuters while reducing waiting times.

The increase in frequency follows BMRCL’s decision to introduce a fifth metro train on the Yellow Line. This fifth metro train arrived at the Hebbagodi Depot on September 30, 2025. This new train is being inducted into service after mandatory testing and service trials.

In a statement, BMRCL said: “On the occasion of the 70th Karnataka Rajyotsava celebrations, Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) is pleased to announce that the 5th Metro Train on the Yellow Line will be inducted into commercial service from November 1, 2025.”

Road and Bommasandra. Commuters are requested to take note of this change and avail the enhanced metro services,” the BMRCL said.

Earlier this month, Dr J Ravishankar, MD, BMRCL along with Directors and Senior Officials inspected the 5th Train set and held meeting with with officials to prioritise and induct the train set for commercial operations.
