Bank employees honour union leader with blood donation camp

As part of the centenary celebrations of Comrade Tarakeswara Chakravarthy, the Krishna District Bank Employees’ Coordination Committee organised a blood donation camp on Sunday at the Lions District 316D Blood Centre Complex.

The camp was inaugurated by AIBEA general secretary C.H. Venkatachalam, who recalled Chakravarthy’s remarkable contributions to the bank employees’ movement. He noted that Chakravarthy had laid a golden path that enabled lakhs of people to secure employment in the banking sector.

Bank employees participated enthusiastically in the camp, donating blood in support of a noble cause. Later in the day, training sessions were held at Swarna Palace Hotel for presidents and secretaries of bank employee unions from Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. A strategy meeting also took place to chalk out future plans for the movement.

Addressing the gathering, union leaders described blood donation as “a great service to humanity” and paid heartfelt tributes to the ideals of Tarak Dada, highlighting his lifelong dedication to the working class.

Among those present were B.S. Rambabu, secretary, AIBEA & general secretary, AP&TBEF; P.V. Krishna Rao, joint general secretary, AP&TBEF; V. Udaya Kumar, joint secretary, AIBEA & deputy general secretary, AP&TBEF; and T. Ravindranath, president, AP&TBEF.
