Sambalpur: Sohela police started verification process to find a 35-year-old migrant worker from Ichhapali village under Sohela police station limits in Bargarh district, who has been missing in Tamil Nadu since Oct 10, informed SDPO (Padampur) Pandab Sabar on Thursday.The missing person, Kedar Bhue, had gone to Tamil Nadu for work. According to reports, Kedar last contacted his wife over the phone from Salem on Oct 10. During the call, he mentioned that some miscreants had snatched his mobile phone. Since then, his whereabouts remain unclear.Concerned over his disappearance, a few volunteers from his village have reached out to police for help. They said even after a written complaint was filed at Sohela police station, no visible action has been taken so far.
On Thursday, local representatives informed the Odisha police and the home department about the incident, requesting immediate action to trace the missing worker.Sub-divisional police officer (Bargarh) Pandab Sabar, told TOI, “We have registered a complaint lodged by his wife. Investigation is on to find out his whereabouts of last contact, where he was working. The local police are engaged to verify and coordinate with Tamil Nadu police for the purpose.”
