A late-night party at a popular Dehradun club turned chaotic on Saturday after a fire stunt went wrong, leaving two bartenders with severe facial burns and narrowly avoiding a major disaster.
The incident took place at Circle Club in Uttarakhand's Dehradun during a weekend party packed with music, dancing, and drinks. According to officials, the bartenders were performing a fire-breathing act, using alcohol to create a flame effect. Within seconds, the flames backfired and engulfed their faces, injuring both.
The packed crowd escaped unhurt, but officials said the situation could have escalated quickly had the fire spread inside the club.
After a video of the incident went viral on social media, Dehradun Police moved in. The club management was fined Rs 10,000, and authorities issued a strict warning against such stunts in the future.
Speaking to India Today TV, a Dehradun Police official said that the club has been cautioned that its license could be recommended for cancellation if similar acts are repeated.
