BEL, i-TEK RFID tie up to expand automated ID and data capture-based digi solutions

BENGALURU: Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL) has signed a memorandum of understanding with Infotek Software and Systems Pvt Ltd to co-develop and deploy digital transformation solutions built on Automatic Identification and Data Capture (AIDC) technologies, including radio frequency identification (RFID).The partnership is aimed at addressing operational and data management challenges across sectors such as manufacturing, logistics, transport and utilities through scalable, technology-led systems. By combining BEL’s experience in defence and strategic electronics with i-TEK RFID’s expertise in IoT-based platforms, the two firms plan to build integrated solutions that improve tracking, efficiency and decision-making.Officials said the collaboration will focus on deploying smart identification and monitoring systems that can be adapted for both strategic and civilian applications. The agreement was formalised in the presence of senior leadership from both organisations, including BEL chairman and managing director Manoj Jain and i-TEK RFID managing director and chief executive officer Ashim Ashok Patil.BEL, a Navratna public sector undertaking under the ministry of defence, has been expanding into non-defence areas such as smart cities, cyber security and space electronics. The tie-up is part of its broader push to strengthen digital and data-driven capabilities across sectors.
