Speaking at the India Today Conclave South 2025, Andhra Pradesh Minister Nara Lokesh reaffirmed his party’s commitment to the BJP-led NDA, declaring that it will continue to offer unconditional support to the coalition and back the NDA’s candidate in upcoming elections.
Lokesh said, “TDP has joined the NDA and continues to support it unconditionally. We believe in the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. We will support the candidate of the NDA.”
When asked about promoting Telugu pride in national politics, Lokesh emphasised the party’s slogan of “Bharat First,” signalling a broader national outlook while maintaining regional interests.
He further stressed that the TDP’s support for the NDA was not limited to the immediate elections, stating, “Beyond 2029, TDP will remain firmly with the NDA, providing unconditional support.” Lokesh’s remarks underscore the party’s strategic positioning as a key regional ally within the alliance, reinforcing its commitment to national leadership while safeguarding Telugu identity.
