Swimmer Benediction Rohit scripted history on Friday as he became the first Indian man to register a sub-24s finish in the 50m butterfly event at the World University Games.
The 22-year-old clocked 23.96s, bettering his own record from the heats earlier in the day, in which he came in at 24.09s. However, he missed out on a spot in the final of the event after coming in 6th in the semifinal heat.
