The Suryanagar police, who cracked the case of the body of an unidentified girl found in a blue suitcase near the Chandapur railway bridge in Anekal taluk, Bengaluru, have arrested the seven accused from Bihar and brought them to the city.

The arrested were identified as Ashik Kumar (42), Mukesh Rajavanshi (35) and his wife Indumati (32), Rajaram Kumar (18), Kalu Kumar (18), Pintu Kumar (19), and another minor boy. Police sources said that all the arrested are from Bihar’s Nawada district.

On the morning of May 21, 2025, a blue suitcase was found near the Chandapur railway bridge. When the police visited the spot and opened the suitcase, they found the body of a girl. Investigations later revealed that the deceased girl was from Belaru village in Nawada district of Bihar.

The deceased has been identified as Reema Kumari (17), who had gone missing from her village on May 15. According to police sources, the girl’s father had filed a complaint about his missing daughter at the Hisua police station in Bihar on May 23.

Police sources said that the main accused, Ashik Kumar, who worked at the Bommasandra industrial area, abducted the deceased, brought her to Bengaluru, then strangled and murdered her.
