A Bengaluru man was arrested for allegedly assaulting a 24-year-old woman at a PG, stabbing her, and threatening to circulate her photos. He also coerced her for money.

A Bengaluru man has been arrested on charges of sexually assaulting a woman at a co-living paying guest (PG) facility in the city, threatening her, and transferring money from her phone to his bank account.
According to a report with NDTV, the man was identified as Saibabu Chennuru, who had befriended the woman recently.
He allegedly barged into the 24-year-old woman’s room at the PG at nearly 3 am, stabbed her in the back with a knife, and took objectionable photos of her.
He also tried to coerce her into sexual activity, threatening to kill her if she resisted, the report quoted the police as saying.
The accused also demanded Rs 70,000 from the woman, a bank employee by profession, and allegedly transferred Rs 14,000 from her phone to his account.
Further, he threatened to circulate her photos if she spoke about the incident to anyone.
