The staff of South Western Railway (SWR) cleared the track between Yedakumari and Shirabagilu stations near Sakleshpur in Karnataka. Train services between Bengaluru and Mangaluru were stopped after boulders fell on the railway track early on June 21.

The track was certificated fit to run at a speed of 20 kmph at 9.10 a.m. Train services have resumed, according to a communique from the SWR.

The staff and officers of SWR worked non-stop for about five hours to clear the track.
