Man flashes at woman walking dog on Domlur Road; police launch manhunt

BENGALURU: A 33-year-old woman from West Bengal residing in East Bengaluru working in a private firm alleged that she was sexually harassed by an unidentified man while walking her dog on November 1.

According to her complaint with Indiranagar police, the incident happened around 11:55 am on 5th Main Road in Domlur Second Stage, Indiranagar. The accused allegedly flashed at her and indulged in an obscene act. The woman took her dog for a walk as she does every day. Someone called out 'Madam' from behind. When she turned around, she saw a man, believed to be in his 30s, wearing a brown T-shirt and grey zip-style shorts.

The man stared at her, flashed at her, and acted obscenely. The woman stated that she froze for a few seconds in shock, but the man continued the act despite noticing her reaction. Feeling unsafe, she immediately ran back home with her dog. She later informed her sister and a male friend and filed a complaint the next day. A senior officer said they are analysing the CCTV camera footage from the spot and surrounding areas to ascertain clues on the accused. A case has been registered under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) section 75 (sexual harassment).
