Bharath inspects KMC office construction works

Minister for Industries and Commerce T.G. Bharath on Thursday (October 30) instructed the officials to complete the construction of the new Kurnool Municipal Corporation (KMC) building by April 2026.

Bharath, along with KMC Commissioner P. Viswanatha, was inspecting the ongoing works on the new office building. Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Bharath said new three-storied building sits on 3.12 acres and is being constructed at ₹28 crore.

Mr. Bharath said 50% of works have been completed, and the bills for the work done have been sanctioned recently.

Mr. Viswanatha said the existing building is not catering to the needs of the increased population in the city. He said the municipal office will be shifted to Pride Plaza in Venkataramana Colony from the existing building and the old building will be razed.
