Bhopal: Woman dies by suicide after husband died in road accident; 2 children orphaned

BHOPAL: A tragic incident unfolded in the Berasia area, where within 24 hours, both husband and wife lost their lives, leaving behind two small children orphaned.Berasia police said that the deceased, 28-year-old Kamarsingh alias Bunty Kushwah, a resident of Umaria Khajuri village near Lalaria police outpost in Berasia, was killed in a road accident on Wednesday night.

He ran his own clinic in Bichhiya village in the Shamsabad area. While returning home on his bike after closing his clinic around 8:30 pm, a speeding car coming from the opposite direction hit him near Khejra Jod on Berasia–Shamsabad Road. He sustained severe injuries and was rushed to the govt hospital in Berasia, where doctors declared him dead.Police said that Kamar Singh married Jyoti Kushwah, 25, a native of Hada village in Vidisha district, about five years ago.

The couple have a four-year-old son and a one-and-a-half-year-old daughter. For the past few months, they were living in a rented house in a new colony near a hospital in Berasia.Wife’s death after consuming toilet cleaner:The shocking news of Kamar Singh’s death left Jyoti devastated. Relatives from both her parental and in-laws’ side tried to console her through the night. However, on Thursday morning around 9 am, Jyoti went inside the washroom and consumed toilet cleaner.

Her brother Mohan Singh Kushwah and other family members rushed her to a private hospital. As her condition worsened, she was shifted to another hospital in Bhanpur, Bhopal, where doctors declared her dead while undergoing treatment in the evening.Police reached the hospital upon receiving information, registered a case of unnatural death, and sent the body for post-mortem.With the death of both Kamar Singh and Jyoti, their two young children have been left orphaned. Police have begun an investigation into the matter.
