Banaras Hindu University (BHU) will open the spot round registration process for undergraduate admissions under the Common University Entrance Test (CUET UG) 2025 from 6:00 pm today. Candidates who were unable to secure a seat in the earlier counselling rounds will have the opportunity to apply.
The registration window will remain active until September 7, 2025, on the official websites — bhu.ac.in and bhucuet.samarth.edu.inThe seat allotment result for spot round 1 will be declared after 6:00 pm on September 8, 2025, as per the official notification.
Who can apply for BHU CUET UG 2025 spot round?
The university has clarified the categories of candidates eligible to register for this round.
- Students who missed the initial CUET UG 2025 counselling rounds.
- Candidates who did not receive a seat allotment earlier.
- Applicants whose allotted seats were cancelled, withdrawn, or rejected due to non-payment of admission fees or issues during document verification.
How to apply for BHU CUET UG 2025 spot round
Candidates can follow the steps below to complete the spot round registration process online.
- Visit the official website: bhu.ac.in or bhucuet.samarth.edu.in
- Click on the “CUET UG 2025 Spot Round Registration” link.
- Log in using your CUET UG 2025 application number and password.
- Fill in the required details and select your preferred course and faculty/college.
- Pay the registration fee of ₹1,000 through the available online payment modes.
- Submit the application form and download the confirmation page for future reference.
- The registration fee for the spot round is ₹1,000 for all categories.
Important instructions for candidates
BHU has also issued a set of guidelines that applicants must keep in mind before registering
- Students already admitted to any undergraduate programme at BHU cannot withdraw or cancel their admission to participate in the spot round.
- No spot round will be conducted for courses with practical components such as Bachelor of Performing Arts (BPA) and Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA).
- Seat allotment will be based on availability, merit ranking, order of preference (faculty or college, if applicable), and the candidate’s category.
- The cut-off for the spot round may differ significantly from the earlier counselling rounds.
Candidates are advised to complete the process well before the deadline to avoid last-minute technical issues.
