VARANASI: Prof. Amarnath Paswan of the Centre for the Study of Social Inclusion at Banaras Hindu University (BHU) will represent India and deliver a lecture at the 28th International Political Science Conference, scheduled to be held in Seoul, South Korea, from July 12 to July 16.This global conference is organised by the International Political Science Association (IPSA) and will feature distinguished political scientists from leading universities and research institutions worldwide. The main theme of the conference is "Resisting Autocratization in Polarized Societies," which will include in-depth discussions on contemporary issues such as democracy, civil rights, electoral politics, global peace, and governance.Prof. Paswan will present his research lecture on "Political Inequality in India: Nature, Challenges, and Solutions" at this conference. In his address, he will shed light on the political inequality prevalent in India's democratic structure, its causes, nature, and potential solutions. His lecture is considered a significant effort to bring relevance to India's socio-political discourse on the global stage.
Additionally, he will chair Panel 23 — "Election, Citizens, and Political Parties in the 21st Century" on the final day of the conference, focusing on the electoral process, citizen participation, and the role of political parties in the 21st century.Leading experts in political science from countries including the USA, Russia, England, Canada, India, Japan, and South Africa are participating in this international conference.
