AMRITSAR : A team of Congress party comprising leaders from different countries, arrived at the Golden Temple on early Tuesday to offer prayers for the chardi kala (high esteem) of the party and the victory of their candidates in the upcoming Tarn Taran bypolls and Bihar elections. The visit comes at a critical juncture, as the party seeks to galvanize support ahead of these crucial electoral battles.Speaking to TOI, senior Congress leader Rajwinder Singh from Switzerland who was accompanied by UK-based Congress leader Gurminder Kaur and others , said, “The strength of Congress lies in the faith of the people. Referring to the recent visit of Rahul Gandhi, Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha, to Columbia and Peru, Rajwinder said, “Rahul’s visit was a remarkable moment for the Indian diaspora. Impressed with our network abroad, he encouraged us to expand the party’s reach. He urged everyone to work tirelessly for the nation, disseminate Congress policies, and bring more people into the fold of the party”, adding that impressed with Rahul’s vision , many teams of Congress leadership from abroad are currently visiting Tarn Taran as well as Bihar to support Congress candidates.

Elaborating on their visit to Amritsar, Gurminder Kaur said, “During our visit to the Golden Temple, we paid obeisance to seek blessings for the victory of Congress candidates in Tarn Taran and Bihar. We also prayed for the chardi kala of the party and its leadership. We prayed for Congress leaders, inspired by Rahul Gandhi’s focus on serving the nation and empowering people through Congress policies. We want to spread this message of hope, service, and inclusion among Indians abroad and in India.
