Bihar Robbers Arrested in Dhanbad Planning Major Jewelry Heist

Dhanbad: Two robbers from Bihar were arrested from Bank More area on charges of planning a robbery in the district. Both have served jail terms in a robbery case in Bihar, police said on Monday.The two arrested accused were identified as Dilip Yadav and Ajay Kumar alias Abhijit, both residents of Motihari district in Bihar, police added.DSP (Law and Order) Naushad Alam said, “The two miscreants were riding a motorcycle in a suspicious manner when police intercepted them during a routine checking drive conducted in view of the festive season. During interrogation, they confessed that they were conducting recce of jewellery shops in Dhanbad for executing a major heist in the coming days.”“Preliminary investigation revealed that they are part of a gang operating across Jharkhand and Bihar. The investigation team is focused on identifying and apprehending other members of the gang. Mobile phones and contact links of the arrested accused are being examined to trace their associates and uncover the their operations,” he added.A country-made pistol, two live cartridges, and a fake number plate were seized from their possession, police added.
