Billionaire
Harsh Goenka
has shared a tongue-in-cheek take on the ongoing feud between US President Donald Trump and tech billionaire Elon Musk. Goenka shared a post on X that humorously reads: Trump is now Elon’s X. The post, brief but sharp, references the souring of the once-strong relationship between the two powerful figures. It comes at a time when tensions between Musk and Trump have erupted into a full-blown political spat. Musk has claimed Trump wouldn’t have won the 2024 US presidential election without his support, saying in a post that “Without me, Trump would have lost the election, Dems would control the House and the Republicans would be 51-49 in the Senate.” “Such ingratitude” he stated.
Musk slams Trump’s One Big Beautiful Bill
Earlier this week, he also lashed out at Trump’s “One Big Beautiful Bill, calling it a “disgusting abomination.” Taking to X, Musk wrote “I’m sorry, but I just can’t stand it anymore. This massive, outrageous, pork-filled Congressional spending bill is a disgusting abomination.” He further added “Shame on those who voted for it: you know you did wrong. You know it.” Following Musk’s criticism,
White House
has defended the bill. Musk has been warning against ‘America bankruptcy’ due to federal over spending for a long time now. Talking about the bill recently, he said “This spending bill contains the largest increase in the debt ceiling in US history! It is the Debt Slavery Bill.”
Trump hits back at Musk
President Trump recently responded to Musk’s criticism of the bill stating “I'm very disappointed with Elon. I've helped him a lot. He knew the inner workings of the bill better than anybody sitting here. He had no problem with it. All of a sudden he had a problem & he only developed the problem when he found out we're going to cut EV mandate”. He further said that “Look, Elon and I had a great relationship. I don't know if we will anymore. I was surprised. He hasn’t said bad about me personally, but I’m sure that’ll be next”.Musk retaliated by saying “False, this bill was never shown to me even once and was passed in the dead of night so fast that almost no one in Congress could even read it!”.
