BJP condemns Congress leaders’ remarks on Modi’s mother 

BJP spokesperson S. Yamini Sharma on Sunday (August 31, 2025) condemned the derogatory comments on Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s mother made by some Congress leaders during Rahul Gandhi’s Bihar tour. She said the remarks amounted to insulting all mothers and all women of the country. She said that Sonia Gandhi, as a mother, should have condemned the remarks passed by her party leaders but she did not respond. Even A.P. Congress chief Y.S. Sharmila kept quiet on the said objectionable comments. The inaction against those leaders reflected the Congress party’s lack of values, Ms. Sharma said.
