Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah’s economic adviser made a shocking remark, linking the BJP with the deadly blast near Delhi’s Red Fort that killed 12 people.

Basavaraj Rayareddi, Siddaramaiah’s adviser, raised suspicions over the blast taking place a day before the second phase of the Bihar elections, and hinted at the BJP’s role, saying the party felt it could win the Bihar election after the first phase.

“They might have felt they couldn’t win Bihar after the first phase. I can’t directly allege that since I don’t have proof. But it happened a day before the Bihar elections. It raises a question in my mind. But I don’t have proof. BJP is not as clean as they claim. Definitely, we have some suspicion," he told reporters.

A powerful explosion ripped through a slow-moving car at a traffic signal near the Red Fort metro station on Monday evening, killing nine people and injuring 20 others. The death toll rose to 12 on Tuesday, with three more people succumbing to injuries.
