Lucknow: The BJP on Wednesday organised special prayer programmes across UP to mark the completion of 12 years of NDA govt at the Centre and Narendra Modi becoming the longest-serving consecutively elected Prime Minister.Party leaders, public representatives and workers held ‘poojan-archan’, havans and prayers in temples across districts, reaffirming their commitment to the vision of a “Viksit Bharat” and praying for the nation’s continued progress under Modi’s leadership.In Lucknow, UP BJP chief Pankaj Chaudhary offered prayers at the Hanuman Setu Temple, while state general secretary (organisation) Dharampal Singh performed rituals at the Budheshwar Mahadev Temple in Para.Highlighting the achievements of the Modi govt, Chaudhary said the past 12 years saw “unprecedented progress” in areas such as development, governance, welfare of the poor, self-reliance and global standing.“India today has established a strong identity among leading global economies and is setting new benchmarks in every sector,” he said.He added that flagship schemes such as Jan Dhan Yojana, Ayushman Bharat, PM Awas Yojana, Ujjwala Yojana, PM Kisan Samman Nidhi and Digital India brought tangible changes in the lives of millions.
“The principle of Antyodaya has been translated into action, ensuring the benefits of development reach the last person in the queue,” he said.Chaudhary described Modi’s leadership as an embodiment of “service, good governance and nation first”, saying his decisions are focused on national interest and long-term development.“The people’s mandate for a third consecutive term reflects their trust in his leadership,” he added.At the Budheshwar Mahadev Temple, Dharampal Singh was joined by senior BJP leader and former minister Mahendra Singh, besides other party functionaries and workers.Singh said the last 12 years would be remembered as a “golden chapter of renewed governance and public welfare”. He added that the Modi govt brought transparency and a new work culture in politics. “The focus on poor, farmers, youth, women and marginalised sections has created a new development trajectory,” he said.
