Stating that a conspiracy has been hatched for carrying out a systematic misinformation campaign against Dharmasthala, members of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) took out a massive protest march in Dharwad on Tuesday.
The protestors led by various BJP leaders marched from Kadapa Maidan to the Deputy Commissioner’s office in Dharwad and raised slogans against the conspiracy by vested interests. Some of them even held banners alleging conspiracy by Left organisations.
The protestors also held a mock procession of the masked man who had earlier declared burying several bodies around Dharmasthala only to retract it later.
They said that just because someone declared burying several bodies, the State government set up a Special Investigation Team (SIT) to probe into the issue. They said that they strongly believe that Leftists are behind the conspiracy and demanded action against all those involved in the conspiracy.
They also raised slogans against the State government saying that it too is part of the conspiracy to defame Dharmasthala.
The protestors urged the State government to complete the SIT probe at the earliest and publicise the SIT report to reveal the truth.
BJP leaders, including district unit president Thippanna Majjagi, the former MLA Seema Masuti, the former Mayors Iresh Anchatageri and Shivu Hiremath, Savita Amarashetti, Mohan Ramadurg, several city corportion councillors, Rajanna Koravi and others took part in the agitation.
